26 v. 40 days

Hi all,
Are there advantages/disadvantages of doing a 26 day round vs a 40 day round? Or, 40 day round vs 26? I can only think that the advantages of a 40 day round vs a 26 day round would be more time for weight loss. If you stop at 26 days and move to P3, you do 3 weeks on P3 and 3 weeks on P4 before being able to load again for another round, correct?
